NBA provides national leadership for the preservation of America's historic barns and their rural heritage.

Encourage the documentation, through surveys and photography, of historic barns and other rural structures.
Encourage and support the creation of statewide and local barn preservation organizations and programs.
Facilitate the sharing of information on barns, their history and their maintenance.
